I am delighted to join the Executive Board of the National Association of Link Workers, as the opportunities for social prescribing are considerable and exciting. By working with the National Association through the Executive Board, I look forward to promoting the dissemination of the highest standards of social prescribing practice, and increased levels of understanding amongst practitioners as well as the broader public of the impact that this approach can achieve

I am absolutely thrilled to have been appointed to the NALW board . I have supported the NALW vision for social prescribing link workers since my first meeting with Christiana, and watched the organisation go from strength to strength under her steer and the current boards leadership . I am fiercely against injustice and believe everybody should have an opportunity to reach their own aspirations and be given that opportunity regardless of the social circumstances and wider determinants of health that they find themselves in . My own personal experiences mean I understand that but also I have an awareness to ensure I set examples in my own working life and practices. I believe in the ethos of social prescribing link workers and the vision and values of NALW and I look forward to working with you.

Social Prescribing is the activity that has made the most difference to the practices I have worked in. To now be part of the organisation that supports this work and the important role the staff across the system do is incredible. I can’t wait to be part of the future of the National Association of Link Workers.

I am looking forward to bringing some of the skills I have gained from Nursing, Clinical Supervision, Mentoring and Coaching, as well as Clinical Governance. I look forward to exploring ideas to better support all our fantastic members in their dedicated work, and drive forward the value of the Link Worker role.
