Associate Membership
Criteria: You can be an aspiring social prescribing link worker, care navigator, health-coach, community connector, care coordinator, or peer support worker who works closely with social prescribing link workers for all or part of your work.
International Associate Membership
Criteria and Benefits: Same as associate membership, but you must be practising outside
the UK.
Professional Membership
Professional membership
Criteria: This category is for anyone practising as a social prescribing link worker in a full
or part-time capacity.
International Professional Membership
Criteria and Benefits: Same as professional membership, but you must be practising
outside the UK.
Accredited Membership
Criteria: You need to be a registered professional member of NALW, have been
practising as a social prescribing link worker for a minimum of 12 months, and meet our minimum education standards, training, CPD, and supervision requirements. This is voluntary and not a requirement.
Country-specific accreditation: In a dynamic field where the UK leads the way and NALW is the sole professional body; we are actively exploring collaborations with other countries to ensure global accreditation and acknowledgement. Nevertheless, we urge you to delve into the specifics of local pathways and prerequisites, as each nation may have its distinct considerations.
